2024 SUMMER CSA Membership
Be a part of our farm by purchasing a summer share with us. We will provide you weeks of delicious vegetables, herbs, fruit and some flowers if available. You will eat with the season as we grow and harvest your local food! Along with items we grow at the farm we will once again be partnering with Wilson’s Farm & Orchard to enhance your local food experience. Depending on what nature brings we hope to have fruit like strawberries, blueberries, cherries and of course apples in shares as they are ready throughout the season from Wilson's.
The Summer Share will be a weekly delivery each Wednesday beginning in June and will run 15 weeks into September.
There will be a possibility of a break mid-season. Start times will be coordinated directly with members.
EGG SHARES
Enjoy delicious organic farm fresh eggs from our friends at JC Organics delivered to you with your amazing produce share. Choose a weekly or bi-weekly add-on share and the amount of each you want. Each share is one dozen eggs.
You must be a 2024 Summer CSA Member to add-on a Dairy Share.
DAIRY SHARES
We are excited to be able to offer yet another wonderful local food option to your already great shares! Dan and Debbie's is a dairy and creamery in Ely, Ia. By partnering with them you will be able to add a Bi-Weekly milk and/or cheese share during the season. AND a new offering from them this year will be delicious Slow Churned Salted Butter!!!
The Milk Share options are Skim, 2%, Whole, or Whole Chocolate milk. You may also add as many gallons as you and your family can drink! You must be a CSA Member of the farm to add dairy to your share.
The Cheese Curd shares are either White Cheddar Share or a Variety Share. The variety will be one bag of White Cheddar, Onion & Chive, Dill, and Tomato Basil or any of their other flavors depending on what is available from the dairy that week.
The Aged Cheddar shares are a half moon of cheese that is aged a minimum of 30 days. The options will be Farmhouse Cheddar Share or a Variety Share. The variety share will be a half moon of Farmhouse, Garden, Jalapeño, Buffalo, Black Pepper, or Caraway Cheddar depending on what is available from the dairy that week.
The Slow Churned Salted Butter is made with cream and salt is a staple to have in the kitchen. Each batch of butter is made in small batches, hand rolled and packaged. This butter is made with care and provides the most creamy delicious flavor. Rest assured this is real butter and is quite possible the best butter you’ll ever eat.
You must be a 2024 Summer CSA Member to add-on a Dairy Share.
SEASONAL ADD-ONS
We are thinking of adding a pop-up artisanal bread option this year throughout the season. Marla, one of your farmers, has become quite the baker and her breads are as beautiful as they are delicious. See interest section on our registration form below.
We believe that partnering with other farmers and producers in our area only makes the entire community stronger. Throughout the season we will be looking for farmers to partner with to offer add-on options for our members. We hope to find partnerships to offer items like coffee, honey, poultry, beef, and dried beans minimally throughout the season. Information and prices on these products will be sent via email as they come available.
**Not sure if CSA is your style? We get it. Although we think this is the best bang for the buck and a way to have you and your family try all kinds of great farm fresh produce throughout the season there are many ways to get our products. We will be at the Iowa City Farmers Market on Saturdays where you can shop our table. Depending on what the season and life has to throw at us this year we may offer Pop-up Produce Boxes or even open up our Online Store throughout the season so just keep up with our social media**
